In recent years, due to the demands of the sociocultural context, the educational system has begun to rethink the teaching-learning processes in terms of methodological, theoretical and practical conceptions. "Guarantee inclusive, equitable, quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all" is Goal number 4 that was raised in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and which refers to inclusive education as a key aspect in building a sustainable society.

This course has been designed to introduce competency assessment with its principles and techniques to the teaching-learning process. The Competency Assessment allows to recognize the process of the learners, taking into account their progress, through evidence that facilitates the assessment of learning. In this way, it is possible to evaluate not only Knowing Knowing but also Knowing How to Do and Knowing Being. According to Sergio Tobón (2012), the competencies approach implies profound changes and transformations at different educational levels, and following this approach is commit to quality teaching, seeking to ensure student learning.

In the same line of educational quality, the principles, guidelines and strategies of the DUA (Universal Design of Learning) will be worked through the use of technological tools that favor its implementation. Knowing the DUA guidelines will help us to develop plans with different alternatives that respond to diversity in the classroom, allowing us to be more assertive in respecting individual differences. The DUA highlights the need for teachers to offer learners a variety of options so that everyone can access learning, ICT being an ideal instrument to make it happen.
