The modality of the event is Face-to-face
The state of generalized violence that exists in the country has worrying dimensions. Political violence, armed conflict, common crime, among others, are everyday aspects of Colombian life. Situation that reveals the importance of psychologists participating in other areas of psychology and directly intervening in the humanization of justice. The appearance of orality in the judicial system, the law of victims and the law of childhood and adolescence, the participation of the psychologist in legal spheres becomes more relevant.
Therefore, legal psychology refers specifically to the role of the psychologist in the legal setting, when referring to the psychological elements present in all legislative precept, to the knowledge and interpretation of the laws and the application of these by the officials who have as a task the achievement of justice.
This seminar intends for Psychology students to open a space for analysis, discussion and updating on the role of the psychologist in a legal field, for which it will be composed of the 5 areas of legal psychology: victimological, criminal, forensic, penitentiary and of the testimony.
