Modality

The modality of the event is Face-to-face

The rapid development of methodological tools and the increase in the availability of environmental information in recent years has made it possible to generate information about the factors that determine the distribution of species. This information has been of great importance to answer ecological and evolutionary questions of great theoretical and applied importance, in particular, on issues of climate change, invasion ecology and emerging diseases, among others. In this way, the purpose of the course is to learn and deepen aspects related to the modeling of the ecological niche and the potential distribution of species. The course will provide the theoretical and methodological tools to generate geographic distribution analysis of the species and its biological interpretation.
