Modality

The modality of the event is Face-to-face

How to perform a virtual psychological intervention? What are the specific competencies that a clinician requires to serve by virtual means? How to optimize virtual environments to reduce the risks of psychological care? What aspects to consider for better framing and accompaniment to patients in virtual environments? These kinds of questions form central questions for psychology professionals who want to perform clinical care through virtual means.

Currently the practice of technology-mediated psychotherapy has increased and there are numerous information spaces that provide general strategies to train and train in virtual care. However, spaces are required for the translation of these theories and techniques into specific competences adapted to Latin American contexts.

It is important to recognize that while it is essential to be informed of the basic scientific and technical elements that have been worked on in virtual psychological care, the places where they were developed are very different from our natural contexts of intervention. Therefore, this course allows to increase the reflexive capacity of therapists, improve the differential analysis of situations presented in online therapy and optimize the process of implementing therapeutic actions in virtual environments.

In this way, this course offers a space for: the development of virtual care competencies; strengthening clinical skills with a contextual emphasis; analysis of strategies tailored to therapists, patients and intervention spaces; and finally, the analysis of clinical cases.
