  • MODULE 1: Care of the patient in critical condition (90 hours) General aspects of the care of the patient in critical care Criteria for inclusion and admission of the patient to the ICU Medical history and civil liability Psychosocial aspects in the care of the patient and his family Delivery and receipt nursing shift of the patient in the ICU Patient safety in ICU care Management indicators in the ICU prevention of infections associated with ICU care Technical and conceptual aspects in the prevention of HAI Aseptic and antiseptic technique Hand hygiene Patient isolation hospitalized. Prevention of prevalent IAAS in ICU: associated with intravscular catheter, ventilator-associated pneumonia, urinary infection, surgical site. Monitoring and diagnostic means in ICU Non-invasive and clinical monitoring Invasive Monitoring Application manual for taking and transporting samples from clinical laboratory Management and preparation of hospitalized patients for diagnostic aids. Care of patients with sepsis and shock: hypovolemic, cardiogenic, septic, catecholamine resistant. Nursing assistance in the performance and interpretation of diagnostic aids: swan ganz, arterial gases, counter-pulsation balloon and measurement of cardiac output.   • MODULE 2: CARE OF THE PATIENT IN MECHANICAL VENTILATION (20 hours) Attention to patients with pulmonary risk mechanical ventilation 1 mechanical ventilation 2 ventilatory circuits Nursing care during intubation. Invasive and Non-invasive Mechanical Ventilation Patient Care
  • MODULE 3: ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT IN THE CRITICAL PATIENT (48 hours) Invasive and non-invasive care performed on a patient and that should include primary and secondary assessment, basic and advanced ventilatory management of the airway, oxygen therapy, automated external defibrillation , electrocardiographic recognition, containment of hemorrhages, immobilization, transfer of patients, volume replacement and administration of medications.
