The modality of the event is Face-to-face
An emergency is characterized by being unforeseen, of variable and fortuitous location, with unequal severity and above all subjectivity and the need for an immediate response; the health personnel who attend to it must have a series of knowledge, skills and attitudes that allow them to efficiently provide assistance to patients. The emergency physician must provide initial care in a global and comprehensive manner, interacting in a balanced way with other specialties in the hospital environment in order to reduce the possibility of sequelae and disabilities. Medical emergencies constitute an important public health problem not only in the country but in the region of the Americas. The possibility of reducing the morbidity and mortality caused by these, depends on the existence of integrated systems that provide emergency care with quality and efficiency, therefore, updating on emergency care issues is a necessity for all professional staff of the health care that attends these types of situations, because the decisions and procedures that are applied must be based on recent clinical evidence. The content proposed in the diploma is the result of a review in a systemic way with the purpose of facilitating and rationalizing decision-making for the most adequate care of an important group of clinical conditions. In addition, Resolution 2003 of May 2014, which defines the procedures and conditions that health service providers must comply with to enable services and other provisions are issued, requires that medical personnel working in emergency services of low, medium and high complexity must have advanced life support training. In this DIPLOMA, such training is programmed. CES University offers the emergency update diploma for physicians coordinated and directed by specialists in the area.
