Modality

The modality of the event is Face-to-face

Higher education institutions have the challenge of training professionals of the present and of the future, as a global professional. A global professional is one who develops global competencies, understood as the ability to examine world and intercultural affairs in order to relate and connect with people of different origins, recognizing human dignity. (OECD, 2018, Preparing our youth for an inclusive and sustainable world. The OECD PISA global competence framework)
To promote this type of training, it is essential that educational institutions offer an international education, seeking to train students with a global consciousness, to live and work in a diverse and multicultural world. Intercultural competences constitute one of the foundations of the training of global professionals, favoring “social adaptation, multicultural integration, citizenship and the harmonious coexistence of plural societies”. All these issues will be addressed in the workshop with a simple and practical conceptual and methodological framework, providing the teacher with tools to incorporate the component of intercultural competences in their classroom processes, based on international trends and standards.
