Julián Emilio Vélez Ríos, dean of the School of Dentistry has been working at CES University for 35 years, after studying his undergraduate degree there, a place that he recognizes as his second home.
He decided to study dentistry because in his childhood he used to attend the office of an uncle of hers who practiced the profession, to observe his work. Since then, he has acquired a taste for this discipline.
Later, he began his working life as a professor at our institution. In turn, he held administrative positions as academic coordinator of the CES Clinic, head of undergraduate studies and for nine years he has served as dean of the Faculty.
He likes crafts, especially carpentry. When you retire, you dream of dedicating yourself completely to this hobby that you are so passionate about. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, talking, reading a history book or a good movie at the cinema.
Support sports, enjoy Atlético Nacional games and a good roast beef. One of his great memories is the time he spent in high school with his friends from Colegio San José, with whom he established a close friendship and they still meet frequently.
