Through the reciprocity program for foreigners in Colombia, ICETEX gives you the opportunity to come to carry out specialization, master’s, doctoral or research studies – at the postgraduate level – for foreign citizens.

With the purpose of encouraging academic mobility abroad, the Medina Family, signed with the CES University, since 2005 a Donation Act, to benefit a student of the University’s undergraduate Medicine, so that said Student can participate in international mobility.

Requirements to be a beneficiary of the scholarship:
• Be an undergraduate student of Medicine..
• Be accepted by an international institution to participate in international mobility.
• Have excellent academic and attitudinal performance throughout your undergraduate.

Selection process:
1. Based on the academic and attitudinal performance of the students who will be participating in an international mobility, each year the Council of the Faculty of Medicine, preselects 3 candidates to be beneficiaries of the scholarship and notifies their name to the Office of Affairs Global, along with the following documentation:

• Resume
• Grades
• Letter of intent of the student addressed to the Medina Villegas Family
• Minutes in which the 3 shortlisted students are notified

2. The Faculty of Medicine nominates the 3 candidates to the Medina Family, along with their respective documentation.

3. The Medina Family, based on the documentation obtained from each student, decides which student is the beneficiary of the scholarship and notifies its name to the Office of Global Affairs.

Scholarship characteristics:

• The scholarship is awarded to one (1) single undergraduate student of Medicine once a year.
• Students who participate in international mobility may be beneficiaries of the scholarship both during the first and second semesters of the year.
• The scholarship until 2014 granted financial support for the total value of one thousand US dollars (US $ 1,000). As of 2015, the grant provides financial support for the total value of one million (1,000,000) Colombian pesos.

Commitments of the student receiving the scholarship:
• The scholarship holder must submit to the CES University and the donor a report on the achievements and studies made during the time he was participating in his international mobility.

Commitments:
The beneficiaries of this support must submit a report to the Office of Global Affairs at the end of the internship. In addition to this, you must make two motivational talks:

1. In the institution of destination to motivate people from abroad to come to CES 2 University. Upon returning, to make the experience known to university students
2. Al regresar, para dar a conocer la experiencia a los estudiantes de la universidad.

Value of the scholarship and conditions:

• Each of the scholarships will grant freely available financial support for a total value of 3,000   EUROS The total number of scholarships to be awarded is defined by UNIVERSITY – SANTANDER.
• The beneficiaries of this scholarship must submit a report to the Office of Global Affairs at the end of the practice. This will inform the Committee of Global Affairs and Santander Bank about the result of the internship, highlighting the achievements made in it. In addition to this, you must make two motivational talks: one. In the institution of destination to motivate people from abroad to come to CES University and, 2. Upon returning, to make the experience known to university students.
• The beneficiaries must have obtained at least half of the credits of their studies.

¿Who can apply?

Career students (undergraduate) of any academic program of the CES University may apply, who have a cumulative average throughout their undergraduate of at least 3.8, who have obtained at least half of the credits of their studies, and who wish to make a international academic mobility not less than one academic semester in an institution belonging to the list of universities approved by Banco Santander, and with which the CES University has a cooperation agreement for academic mobility.

Note: Academic semester is understood as the one corresponding to the Colombian academic calendar (January-June and July to December), as well as that corresponding to other countries, which is mostly from (January to May and from September to December).

Selection process:

1. Open call by the Office of Global Affairs: The call will be opened and each student will be responsible for running directly before this Office and on the online platform of Banco Santander during the indicated dates.

Note: Applications will not be accepted outside the dates indicated.

3. The Office of Global Affairs presents to each academic program the students who have applied for the scholarship.

4. Each academic program preselects, according to the academic level and attitudinal concept, one (1) only candidate among all its applicants and notifies it in an act to the Office of Global Affairs, together with the accumulated academic average of the student throughout the race.

5. Interview of the Office of Global Affairs, University Welfare and the Sustainability Headquarters: The shortlisted students for each academic program will have this interview in order to be able to provide a report to the Committee on Global Affairs, about the perception of each candidate.

6. Election by the Global Affairs Committee of the beneficiary and official statement. The Global Affairs Committee will study the reports provided to make the decision on the people to whom the scholarships will be awarded.

7. The Office of Global Affairs will notify each of the students chosen as beneficiaries.

8. The Global Affairs Committee will formally deliver the scholarships to each of the students chosen as beneficiaries.

Support Details: (2) beneficiaries of a support corresponding to $ 2,000,000 COP will be selected for the duration of their exchange (the maximum support time provided is for 6 months).

At all times the beneficiary must show good academic performance and appropriate behavior, conditions to maintain the benefit.

Tracing: The beneficiaries of this support must submit a report to the Office of Global Affairs at the end of the internship.

Criteria to apply for support: Undergraduate and graduate students of any academic program of the CES University will apply, who have a cumulative average throughout their undergraduate of at least 3.8 and who wish to make an international exchange in an institution abroad; Ideally, you have an agreement with the CES University..

They must have the support of their faculty and have clarity about objectives, destination and institution / company where the exchange will take place.

Note: The exchange must take place in the semester immediately after the support is received. It will not be reserved for other semesters.

Academic semester is the one corresponding to the Colombian academic calendar (January-July and July-December), as well as that corresponding to other countries (mostly from January to May and from September to December).

Election by the Beneficiary Scholarship Committee and official statement: The Scholarship Committee will study each of the documents and the report presented, and will make the decision on the person to whom the support will be granted, once this decision is made, the candidates will be notified.

6. The Office of Global Affairs will notify the student chosen as the beneficiary of the support. The process to receive it will be shared.

Students of the (undergraduate) degree in business administration of the CES University may apply, who have an average accumulated throughout their undergraduate of at least 3.8, who have obtained at least half of the credits of their studies, who have a B2 level Certificate of English and wishing to perform international academic mobility during the first semester of 2019 at the Budapest Business School; Hungary.

Note: Academic semester is understood as the one corresponding to the Colombian academic calendar (January-June and July to December), as well as that corresponding to other countries, which is mostly from (January to May and from September to December).

Selection process:

1. Open call by the Office of Global Affairs: The call will be opened and each student will be responsible for running directly before this Office.

3. The Office of Global Affairs presents students who have applied for the scholarship to the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences.

4. The faculty preselects according to the academic level and attitudinal concept, five (5) candidates among all its applicants and notifies it in a record to the Office of Global Affairs, together with the accumulated academic average of the student throughout the undergraduate.

5. Interview of the Office of Global Affairs, University Welfare and the Sustainability Headquarters: The students shortlisted by the faculty will have an interview in order to be able to provide a report to the Committee of Global Affairs, about the perception of each candidate.

6. Election by the Beneficiary’s Global Affairs Committee and official statement: The Global Affairs Committee will study the reports provided to make the decision on the person to whom the scholarship will be granted.

7. The Office of Global Affairs will notify the student chosen as beneficiary.

8. The Global Affairs Committee will formally grant the scholarship to the student chosen as beneficiary.
