Basic Sciences Laboratory 1

This space has a capacity for 16 people, and is adequately endowed for research and teaching in Taxonomy, Morphology, Animal Biology, among others. Although this space was designed for teaching, it also carries out research work from the seedbeds and undergraduate and master’s degree work.

It supports the courses of: Zoology, Animal Physiology, Entomology, Herpetology, Mammalogy, Ornithology and Marine Biology, Taxonomy, Morphology and Animal Ecology Systematic Phylogenetics and Biogeography.

Basic Sciences Laboratory 2

This space has a capacity for 16 people. He is gifted for research and teaching in Taxonomy, Morphology and Biology of plants in general. It is designed primarily for the use of the Biology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Ecology programs.

This laboratory was designed for teaching, but it is also used to carry out research work of the seedbeds and graduate work of undergraduate and master’s students. There, the courses of: Botany, Plant Physiology, Taxonomy and Morphology of plants, Phylogenetic Systematic Ecology and Biogeography are supported.

Basic Sciences Laboratory 3

This is a space for 16 people and has the basic resources to supplement practices in the chemical area. The laboratory has the resources: basic glassware for all practices, chromatograph, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, analytical balance, extraction cabinet, muffle, centrifuge, microscopes, stereoscopes, shaking and heating plates, universal supports, reagent room and pH Metro.

In addition, it is available to the careers of: Biology, Ecology and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Nutrition and Dietetics.

Basic Sciences Laboratory 4

It has a capacity for 12 students and is used for research training in areas such as Molecular and Experimental Pathology.

In this, students can develop research work related to molecular, structural and functional alterations in tissues and fluids of mammals; occurred in the context of various pathological processes, with the aim of finding useful markers in the diagnosis of said processes, as well as to identify possible therapeutic targets.

Also, research is carried out in the areas of Cellular Regeneration and Tissue Repair; for the long-term development of therapeutic strategies based on regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, focused on the skeletal system.
