Clinical Simulation

It is designed for the development of clinical skills in undergraduate and graduate students. It is made up of 4 clinical environments, with a capacity for 12 students and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which recreate the reality of hospital spaces with the possibility of controlling the different variables that intervene in patient care and required by Colombian regulations for health services.

• Doctor’s office: allows to improve the quality of patient interviews through constant practice.
• Hospitalization room: facilitates the development of basic skills in nursing procedures and rounds for internal medicine.
• Emergency room: this space allows simulating the arrival to an emergency service, as well as the delivery of patients, testing the performance of the student in emergency units.
• Intensive care unit: dedicated to developing skills for the provision of advanced life support in simulated patients.

This area is available to the undergraduates of: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Physiotherapy, Biology, Dentistry, Nursing and Technology in Prehospital Care. Also for postgraduate courses in: Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and additionally, it is used in extension activities of Public Health and CEMPAS (Center for Medical and Paramedical Training with Simulators).
