Cookies or navigation data are small information files or text fragments sent by a Portal or technological application owned by CES University and which are stored in the user's browser or device. Through cookies, the Portals remember information about the visit of users, which allows a better and safer browsing experience to be provided. Cookies are associated with both anonymous users, that is, those who visit the Portals without identifying themselves or registering, and those who do.

Cookies do not correspond to personal data, that is, by authorizing the use of cookies you are not authorizing the processing of your data, nor is CES University storing or extracting personal data from your device or browser. When personal data is filled in on the portal, before its storage, CES University will always require your prior authorization and will notify you of the data processing policy and the rights you have as the owner of the same according to Law 1581 of 2012.

On the other hand, cookies are not a virus or any other type of malicious program that can damage users' devices. Additionally, cookies cannot delete or read information from users' computers or devices.

Cookies are created and / or updated on the user's computer or device automatically, when the user accesses the CES University Portal, which allows CES University or third parties that it hires, to track the cookies of the user and therefore to the information that these cookies contain or obtain from the user. It is important to clarify that cookies are only read by the website that created them.

Types of cookies used by CES University

1. Essential Cookies.

These cookies are essential for the use of the Portal, in the sense of facilitating the registration process in it, as well as allowing users faster and safer access to the services selected within the Portal. Without these cookies, the CES University may not be able to offer users certain services within the Portal or access to some applications hosted on it. Therefore, the portal may not function normally.

2. Functional Cookies.

Through the use of functional cookies, it is possible for the CES University or the third party that it hires, to personalize the services offered on the Portal, providing each user with information that is or may be of interest to them, in attention to the use that performs the services and the specific pages you visit within the Portal. Through these cookies, the CES University or the third parties that it hires, will be able to offer users a better experience and better browsing performance within the Portal.

The CES University or the third party that it hires, through the use of these cookies, may deliver to the user advertising that it considers may be of interest, according to the preferences and behaviors that the user has or has had within the network of CES University portals. Through analysis or performance cookies, CES University or the third party that it hires, can carry out different analyzes and studies of the information collected, in order to improve the products and services that CES University offers to users.

The CES University may share information obtained through cookies with external persons or third parties (allies, clients, suppliers or companies linked to the CES University), in order to improve the usability and services to the user. Likewise, the information received through cookies will be used by CES University and the previous third parties, for the purposes described in this document.

The CES University may contract third parties in charge of storing and obtaining the information through cookies, or that include cookies within the CES University portals, persons who may be located within Colombia or abroad. Likewise, CES University may deliver to third parties, the information obtained from cookies to create user profiles, offer personalized campaigns, without the foregoing implying delivery of personal information.

This Policy contains the necessary information that every user of the Portals should know about the use of cookies made by the CES University or the third parties that it hires. CES University may modify this document at any time and without prior notice to keep them current and updated.
