In 2019, CES University has a large number of agreements with other national and international higher education institutions, so that its students from the different faculties live the experience of an academic and cultural exchange.
So far this year, approximately 60 students have gone to international exchange, and between 35 and 40 students have gone to other national universities.
Samuel Medina Luna, coordinator of academic exchanges at CES University, stated that “The importance of an academic exchange really is that people leave their comfort zones, they manage to look or experience a completely different perspective, a new teaching methodology where that helps them to grow not only as people, for what they are getting to know a new culture and people, but also a very different vision of what their professional career is. So enrichment is linked to that ".
The institution has agreements with universities from: Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Spain, the United States, France, Mexico, Peru, among others. And at the national level, we have exchanges in the cities of Medellín, Cali, Bogotá, Barranquilla, Santander, Cartagena, among others.
“It is very important to make a clarification here and it is that our students can make academic exchanges without having an agreement, because for us it is not necessary. Then, at the national and international level, students can use our agreements, which is the ideal, or propose another institution that is not within them and simply do all their exchange, ” said the coordinator Medina Luna.
A student can make several exchanges, but it is very important that all of them are authorized by their faculty, that is, they can make as many exchanges as the faculty authorizes.
