The CES University Global Affairs area is in charge of supporting the institution's incoming and outgoing academic exchanges. In the midst of this pandemic, the accompaniment has been done virtually and the internship students had to adhere to this modality.
Currently, CES University has 37 students in academic exchanges, 14 foreigners who are in the city of Medellín and 23 national students who are in different parts of the world such as Spain, the United States, Germany, Mexico, among others.
“Students are contacted every day to find out about their state of mind, health and to find out how they are doing with their study assignments. Also by Institutional Welfare and Human Development, they have provided psychological counseling to some students who have required it.”Said Juan Jaime Arroyave Restrepo, head of Global Affairs at CES University.
The students are in quarantine from their places of stay and so far none of the 37 students have shown symptoms of coronavirus.
“Since May 10, when they announced confinement here in Spain, the professors and the Global Affairs area of the CES University gave me their full support. They have offered me virtual exercise routines, psychological counseling and other activities for the development of my quarantine”, Commented María Alejandra Jaramillo Rojas, a Pharmaceutical Chemistry student who is in Madrid, Spain.
The Global Affairs area of our Institution is intervening so that students can be taken into account for humanitarian flights, in which students who are in Medellín and outside the country can travel.
