Estefanía Gil Urrea and Juanita Uribe Londoño, residents of the Pediatrics program, thanks to their academic and human qualities and after a rigorous selection process, were the beneficiaries of a scholarship to carry out a one-month rotation at Nicklaus Children's Hospital from Miami, one of the most recognized institutions in the care of pediatric patients in the United States.
The scholarship consists of the rotation of the students in the hospital, as observers, within the areas of Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Intensive Care. They will be able to attend the rounds, consultations, procedures, talks, exhibitions and congresses.
“This opportunity means a lot to me because it is the first time that I am going on an exchange and there I will be able to broaden my horizons, open my mind and bring everything good about the hospital, especially in the investigative part”, Expressed the resident Estefanía Gil.
With this exchange, the students will be able to raise the name of our University and its high academic level, in addition to strengthening their training as future pediatricians thanks to the experience of being in one of the largest and most important children's hospitals in America.
