The SER Scholarship program of the CES University consists of the coverage of 100% of the enrollment and a minimum salary in force per academic period, this with the support of allied companies, of this percentage 25% will be contributed by the University and 75% by donor companies, this to optimize the use of resources.
The CES University of Medellín became the first Institution of Higher Education in the country, accredited in high quality, to receive the endorsement by the Ministry of National Education (MEN) to offer the Becas SER program (from the Regional Business Sector).
It is a national government program with high social impact to connect the professional training of students from strata 1, 2 and 3 with the needs of the productive sector. Its purpose is to collect and administer donations from the private sector to promote higher education in Colombia.
"Its main objective is to establish a strategic alliance with the State to promote access to higher education for populations with fewer economic resources to strengthen the productive sector ," said Dr. Jorge Julián Osorio Gómez, rector of the CES University .
With the support, students will receive financing of 100% of the value of tuition in undergraduate careers, a support subsidy and will be guaranteed funding for the entire career, with other additional benefits provided by the university in topics of accompaniment, well-being, second language, food, among others.
For their part, entrepreneurs, as strategic allies that are linked, will have economic benefits such as: deduction of income over 100% for donations that are made and income tax discount of 25% of the value that they have donated, by Becas program SER of the CES University.
In addition, donor companies are offered the possibility of signing a voluntary alliance with the institution that will grant the organization's employees, their spouses and children, a 10% discount on services of the IPS CES Sabaneta, the Veterinary Center and Zootechnics (CVZ), in registrations for continuing education programs, non-clinical postgraduate programs and courses at the Language Center.
