Medellín, May 29, 2020

Dear university community,

For us it is essential that our students finish their semesters in a satisfactory way; and during this time of contingency we have always followed government guidelines at the national and regional level in order to minimize the risk of coronavirus infections.

The national government issued Decree 749 of May 28, 2020 in which it mentioned the new exceptions in the framework of mandatory preventive isolation that will run until July 1, 2020 and in which it refers to the permission to perform “practical and research laboratories of institutions of higher education and education for work and human development”.

This is how we inform everyone that during the month of June 2020 we will sequentially open the doors of our Poblado, IPS CES Sabaneta and the Veterinary and Zootechnics Center (CVZ) for the end of the 2020-1 academic semester in the undergraduate that require face-to-face laboratory practices whose specific programming by faculty and / or program will be sent via email.

To carry out these activities, it is essential that each one complies with the following recommendations:

1- Carry the card that accredits you as a student. If you do not have it, you should contact mramirezm@ces.edu.co

2- Register before 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 31 in the Medellín application that takes care of me on the website of the Mayor's Office of Medellín. In addition, they must fill out the form of the web application created by the University, CES takes care of me every time they enter the University ( cesmecuida.ces.edu.co )

3- Check in the following link if you have a mobility permit to the University or its headquarters https://www.medellin.gov.co/permisotransitar

4- Follow all the biosafety protocols established by the University and which can be consulted on the web portal: www.ces.edu.co

5- The restaurant and cafeteria service will not be reactivated. Only the institutional restaurant N Cooking & Nutrition will provide catering service at home.

6- The conditions for carrying out professional practices in institutions or organizations other than the CES University are the following:

The institution where the practice is carried out must be included within the exceptions contemplated in the resolution and must be duly authorized by the territorial entity for the development of its activities.

The institution where the practice takes place must authorize the development of face-to-face activities by the practitioners.

Practitioners must be enrolled in CES take care of me and have a green traffic light. Students classified in yellow or red must refrain from attending practice activities. The coordinators of each faculty will be in charge of ensuring compliance with this requirement.

In addition to the above considerations, the development of professional practices must adhere to all the requirements of the national government and territorial entities with respect to the conditions for intra- and inter-municipal displacement.

If you have doubts or concerns, you can contact each of its faculties for more information.

Financial support

From CES University we want them to continue with their academic training. It is for this reason that we have implemented different strategies that seek a balance between the sustainability of the institution and the economy of our students and their families.

We have financing policies aimed at new and old students, always thinking about people's equity through the support of our strategic allies

  1. New students - CES Educational Strengthening Program : A program aimed at young people from strata 1,2,3 and 4 was created, with a 25% discount on the entire career, in 7 University programs, this financed directly by the institution in equal installments and without interest. Here are the requirements:

That is why we have designed the Near You program for all new and old students, both undergraduate and graduate.

This program is aimed at those who have not found a positive response from financial institutions. In this case, the CES University will analyze each particular situation to approve direct financing, without interest. To do this, during the second semester of 2020 the student must pay the initial 30% of the tuition fee and 4 equal installments of the remaining 70%. To access this benefit, you must take into account the following requirements:

  • Credit denial letter or document from the financial institution.
  • Be up to date on your tuition payments when requesting financing.
  • The CES University will finance them directly, after consultation with the debtor and co-debtor's credit bureaus and approval by the Financial Support office.
  • The beneficiaries will sign a promissory note with the respective co-debtor.
  • Delivery of all the required documents to the debtor and co-debtor.

This program finances students in monthly installments, without interest, but it is a mandatory condition that they have gone through the allied financial entities before applying.
