Medellín, May 8, 2020
- Complying with the guidelines and indications of the government entities of the country and the region, and with the aim of contributing to the containment and spread of the SARS-CoV2 virus during the coming months, the CES University informs that: IPS CES service centers Sabaneta and the Veterinary and Zootechnical Center (CVZ) of the CES University will resume administrative and assistance activities in person from May 11 under rigorous biosafety protocols.
The administrative tasks of the Poblado headquarters are estimated to be able to resume gradually as of May 26 and must be agreed with each head of area and dean of each faculty, who are the people who must necessarily return to face-to-face activity and with what flexibility hourly; and which ones will continue to develop their responsibilities from work at home.
- The undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education programs will continue in the face-to-face modality assisted by technology from each of their homes this first semester of 2020. We reiterate that the practices programmed in laboratories and in simulation areas within the Poblado, Sabaneta and Envigado headquarters They are scheduled to start from June 1 or on the date that allows compliance with the recommendations of the national, regional and local governments. Students will only be able to enter the University on the days and times that each faculty has programmed them, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the institution.
- The Information Technology (IT) area has developed the web application CES takes care of me, which will allow a biosafety control and monitoring of the entrance of students, teachers and administrative personnel to the University headquarters in Medellín, Envigado and Sabaneta. For this reason, it is mandatory to enter the application and fill out the required data each time they have to travel to each of the headquarters in:cesmecuida.ces.edu.coOtherwise they will not be allowed to enter the institution. Collaborating personnel, supplier and projects in agreement that are among the most vulnerable population (over 70 years old, with pathologies and / or conditions vulnerable to coronavirus, and outside of the exceptions decreed by the national government) should NOT attend any of the headquarters and will continue to develop its activities from home.Although the National Government only gives guidelines for people over 70 years of age, the CES University recommends that those over 60 years of age should continue to work at home and if necessary the presence in the institution must go with approval of the immediate boss.
- We reiterate our commitment to self-care. We are not on recess or on vacation, it is a temporary change in education modality as an epidemiological containment strategy, for this reason they must remain at home all the time.
