The CES University of Medellín, recognized for its offer in health programs and other areas of knowledge, led the construction of a biosafety protocol for its headquarters and which was welcomed and endorsed by the technical, scientific and administrative groups of the Group of eight high quality accredited universities in Antioquia known as the G8 Universities.

The biosafety protocol defined by the CES University includes six specific lines: security of the university campus; hygiene and disinfection protocols; mobility; health protocols in academic activities; health protocols in administrative activities; and measures associated with third parties. This will be applied once the national government authorizes and makes known the guidelines for the gradual reopening of face-to-face activities.Photograph of the Biosafety protocol for entering the CES University

We want you to be calm because we evaluate the best way to integrate ourselves into our daily activities, but always thinking about the well-being and quality of life of our university community. We will strictly comply with the biosafety protocols of our headquarters to move forward amid the new challenges posed by this pandemic”, Expressed Dr. Jorge Julián Osorio Gómez, rector of the CES University.

One of the main provisions has to do with the implementation of the 'peak and faculty'. The measure seeks that, through a schedule established during the week, the students and teachers of each program attend the university campus on specific days without all the undergraduates converging on the same day. For example, Medicine students will go on a designated day, while Biology students will be assigned another date a week to avoid mass attendance and so on.

Another measure establishes five working hours for administrative staff, although virtual activities from home will be prioritized as the main work methodology. The flexible hours to be arranged in each area would be: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm; 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; 8:00 am to 6:00 pm; 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; and 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
