The past Institutional Research and Innovation Conference reached its nineteenth edition with the novelty that those who presented their projects would do so from the Zoom videoconferencing platform for an auditorium that was connected from their home or workplace and could see the most studies Highlights of the CES University, the CES Clinic and the Colombian Institute of Tropical Medicine (ICMT).
In these Conference a total of 320 projects were presented, 263 related to research and 57 to innovation. Of this total, the juries recognized 55 projects as the best qualified among the event that brought together nearly 900 authors and co-authors and had an attendance of more than 2,600 people, as reported by Rubén Darío Manrique Hernández, director of Research and Innovation at the University CES.
“These figures significantly exceed the exposures and participations in the events of previous years, probably facilitated by the virtual methodology and technological tools.”, Stated the director Manrique, who also thanked the participation of all those who took part in the activities, whether as attendees, exhibitors or jurors.
Most of the CES University Faculties had between 4 or 5 projects that stood out from the 55 highest rated total. Some of the issues that stood out were those of the psychological effects on health personnel in the care of the COVID-19 pandemic (Faculty of Medicine), the project that seeks to make music with heart sounds so that heart patients adhere to pharmacological treatment (Faculty of Nursing), or representations of the female body during the armed conflict in Colombia (Faculty of Law).
