Dr. Clara Inés Sánchez Franco is the Academic Director of the CES University, she has been linked since 2013 and is the newly honored in public health, a mention that was awarded in the Academic Act on October 16, 2019 for her excellent work and his more than 30 years teaching.
“I feel very honored to have received this recognition for an academic, research and extension life in the area of public health, first since my training as a master's degree in Public Health and secondly training nurses in the area of public health, no only for Medellín but also for Rionegro and the Eastern Antioquia region ” , said the honoree.
The trajectory of the Honoris Causa is extensive: she began her nursing studies at the University of Antioquia and continued with a master's degree in Public Health at the same institution. She was also the coordinator of the Collaborating Center of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), for the quality of nursing education.
Currently, she is a postgraduate professor at our institution and has a practical project for her students to visit municipalities in eastern Antioquia where they can identify the implementation of public policies in a municipal setting. His personal project is to improve education in the area of public health for professionals, not only undergraduate but also graduate.
“I feel very honored to belong to the CES University, I have had three important milestones of the University, which was first to go from the health sciences institute to the CES University, then in 2013 the part of institutional accreditation and now this year the renewal of the accreditation that we hope will be reached by the resolution of the Ministry of Education at the end of the year or at the beginning of next year ” , the Honoris Causa in public health concluded with emotion.
