With 75% of the votes, Dr. Juan Diego Maya Arango, a graduate of the CES University Medicine program, was appointed as director of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile.
Our graduate assumed the position as a huge challenge and with many goals to meet, including installing a development project where the integration of the different disciplines that make up the institute can become a reality and where collaborative research deepens.

The process to be appointed as director is by election. At the University of Chile, academics elect authorities, from rector to deans and directors of departments and institutes.
