Thinking about the well-being and health of patients and their families, the university business initiative (Spin Off) of the CES University of Medellín, HolaDr., will continue to provide online care in the hands of general medicine and pediatric professionals to Sura users with general symptoms and symptoms related to COVID-19.
The service is part of the alliance that Seguros Sura and IPS HolaDr have had since 2017. for the virtual attention and consultation, initially, to the users with the Sura Health Policy in Colombia. Through its platform, IPS seeks to expand its portfolio of services with specialties in psychology and dermatology; and later other specialties in addition to general medicine and pediatrics.

The IPS has operated since 2017 as a pioneer telehealth model in the country. It is an example project in the consolidation of the University-Company-State alliance, since entities such as the CES University, Salud Sura and Intergrupo are part of the process. In addition to being possible, thanks to the knowledge and experience of Dr. González at the technical table of the Committee of experts in telehealth that advises the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
Before enabling its virtual channels for the care of Sura users with symptoms related to the coronavirus, the IPS HolaDr. he has maintained his consulting services for general medicine and pediatrics. To date, it has more than 150,000 consultations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since its start of operation.
The care and monitoring, through the technological platform, is done by medical and paramedical personnel, general practitioners and specialists during the 72 hours following the consultation, this to guarantee follow-up and identify alarm signs and / or factors risk that may occur as part of the natural history or evolution of pathologies.
