Nutrition and Dietetics CES students won best research work in Manizales Eighth semester students of the Nutrition and Dietetics program of the CES University obtained recognition for the Best Student Category Poster at the XVII Colombian Congress of Nutrition and Dietetics and II International Food and Nutrition Congress which was held in Manizales by ACODIN.

The students Estefanía Rodríguez and Julieta Avendaño participated in the congress with their degree work entitled “Measurement and experiences of food insecurity, hunger and coping strategies in children and adolescents from 6 to 17 years of age from Medellín"Which passed two registration filters for its exhibition.

This work is based on verifying and is seeing how food insecurity is currently in the children of Medellín through two instruments which were applied to the children to see at what level of insecurity they are and what coping strategies they use when in your household is food insecure”Estefanía Rodríguez expressed about the project.

The XVII Colombian Congress of Nutrition and Dietetics and II International Food and Nutrition Congress was held in Manizales by ACODIN, Colombian Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists, from August 15 to 17, 2019.
