The Faculty of Nursing of the CES University premiered this November 26 the magazine CES Nursing, the first scientific publication of its kind in charge of compiling the articles of researchers, students and teachers of this department.
As described by Dean Dedsy Berbesi Fernández in the editorial note that initiates the publication, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Council of Nurses (ICN) launched the Nursing Now campaign in 2017, to promote member leadership of this profession and disseminate its impact and importance so that people can measure their influence on access to health and so that institutions achieve attention focused on the humanization of their services.
“It is for this reason that from the CES University and specifically from the Faculty of Nursing, a journal of dissemination of nursing practice is started, which we hope will be a regional and national reference in the dissemination of the scientific production carried out by the nurses”, Details the dean.
Its editions will be published virtually, and according to Maite Agudelo Cifuentes, editorial coordinator, her first challenge is to enter the group of journals indexed by the Ministry of Sciences, Technologies and Innovation.
Its first edition has 3 original articles, 1 article on the experience of nursing in caring for patients with COVID-19 and the editorial, written by the dean.
