The Nutrition and Dietetics program of the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences at CES University will graduate its first 43 students on December 16, 2020.
This program was born in 2016 with the creation of the Faculty that grouped knowledge and research around nutrition and food. This is the first and only undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in the country that integrates a specific faculty for the sciences that theoretically and methodologically based its object of study. Something unique and novel because it is usually part of faculties associated with the health sciences related to their studies, but not particular.
According to the dean of the Faculty, Dr. Piedad Roldán Jaramillo, these first graduates come out with differentiating elements such as the comprehensive profile in clinical areas, industry, gastronomy, public management, food and nutritional planning and education .
“Since its creation, this undergraduate has responded to the philosophical and normative guidelines of the CES University. Because we offer society an ethical, innovative, creative, critical graduate and capable of leading the transformation of their professional and social environment"Said the dean.
For Luz Adriana Gómez Muriel, one of the graduates, it is a distinction to be able to be the first, but also a great responsibility because they will be in charge of opening the path of these CES professionals in society, in addition to the fact that current students will have them as a reference of your future.
The first Nutrition and Dietetics undergraduate ceremony can be witnessed virtually on December 16 at 2:00 pm through the official YouTube channel of the CES University in this link.
