Have you ever suffered from bullying as a child? Do you know if your child is a victim or promoter of bullying in his / her school environment? Questions like these will be debated at the V International Symposium on School Harassment (Bullying) that will bring together national and international experts on October 1 and 2 in Medellín.
The academic meeting, organized for 10 years by the Faculty of Psychology of the CES University of Medellín, aims to address the issue of school bullying and promote the formation of academic and research networks of the phenomenon.
"It is proposed, in alliance with the Protective Environment School Program of the Mayor's Office of Medellín, to address the possibilities and environments of school coexistence, with a line that points to the promotion of prosocial competences such as empathy and moral connection", clarified Natalia Cárdenas Zuluaga, coordinator of the Master of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at CES University.
With an attendance of 500 participants, 300 of them teachers from Medellín, the Symposium also constitutes a bet of regional, national and international awareness in favor of the improvement not only of the quality of life of the students, teachers, psychologists and parents of family but of these with their immediate context: the school.
