From the undergraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Faculty of Sciences and Biotechnology and the Center for Pharmaceutical Science and Research (CECIF) of the CES University, antibacterial gels have been produced in order to support the biosafety protocol implemented in the U as part of the control of risks generated by the current health emergency, in addition to keeping supplied with this product in its different locations.

Since March 12, 2020 and to date, approximately 5,000 units have been delivered between the different locations of ouralma mater, To facilitate handling, the gels are packaged in different presentations of 30, 60, 250, 350 and 500 milliliters (ml).

“For the realization of the gels, our Center for Pharmaceutical Science and Research (CECIF) has the Temporary Authorization granted for reasons of the pandemic by the National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (INVIMA), with this permission we have the support for the production and distribution of the product, ” said Sol Beatriz Castro Arango, CECIF technical director.

The antibacterial gel is a semi-solid product that serves as a sanitizer and / or disinfectant and is used as a complementary cleaning agent for the hands without the need to use soap or water and eliminates 99% of germs on contact.
