The Mayor's Office of Medellín recognized the work that the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences has done as a strategic ally in the implementation of actions that seek to improve the food and nutritional conditions of the population of the city of Medellín.

"To date we have evaluated the nutritional status of 1,250 children and adolescents located in the different communes and townships, which have received initial advice for the activation of the care route, depending on the situation found," said Lina Marcela Chavarriaga Maya, teacher faculty.

In the recognition given in the middle of the World Food Day commemoration day, not only the faculty but also the CES University was awarded for its commitment in building the social fabric for nutrition and food in the city.
