The initiativeExcite youIt consists of the university community and their families releasing and expressing the emotions produced by the pandemic, telework, tele-study and the confinement that we are experiencing through art.

In addition, it is a project that from the Office of Institutional Wellbeing and Human Development seeks that the university community reduce stress through art and that they build different artistic products that will be proposed to them fromExcite youevery Wednesday through the institutional mail. These products will remain as a memory and permanence of the moment we are living, for this reason each week a different activity is proposed for people to develop from their homes.

What we want to do with these products that the community is making is that they can be exhibited and that they become tools for studies and research in the future, in order to show, through art, what this historical moment that humanity has lived through”, Said Mónica Moreno Osorio, leader of the University's Cultural and Artistic Promotion.Photograph of an employee coloring a mandala

Until now, inExcite youTwo activities have been proposed, the first consisted of coloring mandalas that will be exhibited in a memory mural that will be made when you can return to the University, the second activity invites you to fill out a wellness diary and paint a series of drawings thinking about some specific questions and according to figures; In addition, the Department of Humanities linked to the initiative with the XVII CES University Story Contest, in which the participants will write a story where the main theme is the pandemic and all that this has entailed.
