The Ministry of National Education (MEN) reported, through Resolution 013602 of December 9, 2019, thatthe CES University of Medellín,with 42 years of foundation,receives the renewal of the High Quality Accreditation for the next six years.

After rigorous and arduous work carried out at the beginning of 2019, the academic peers of the National Accreditation Council (CNA) recognized that “it has been shown that the CES University based in Medellín has achieved sufficient levels of quality so that, according to the norms that govern the matter, this fact is publicly recognized through a formal act ”.

“The contribution we have made during 42 years in the training of more than 17,000 professionals in high academic, ethical, critical, and human quality and our scientific and social contribution have undoubtedly contributed to this achievement that we celebrate today, which we share with the entire university community and that challenges us in a rigorous and disciplined manner to constantly strive for excellence in each of our actions ”, commented Dr. Jorge Julián Osorio Gómez, rector of the CES University.

Among the achievements highlighted by the MEN are: "The processes of participatory self-evaluation and continuous improvement that are evidenced from the previous accreditation in aspects such as: progress in teaching capacity, advances in research macro-processes and university well-being and media development educational ”.

In addition, the Resolution reads that "the CES training proposal, which is aimed at comprehensive training and the development of capacities and competences, a model in which research, flexibility, contextualization, interdisciplinarity, and interculturality are essential, integration and development of autonomy. Its application implies an enormous institutional effort sustained in the long term ”.

In specific events, this Resolution exalts: “In 2017 there were 1,364 supports granted to 354 beneficiaries. On the other hand, the university's teaching regulations contemplate all the elements related to supporting teachers in their training processes. More than 800 teachers took part in them in the years 2016-2018, particularly in attendance at events (721 teachers), short courses (118 teachers) and internships (18 teachers) ”.

The academic peers valued the influence of "the results in the tests of the Generic Competences Saber Pro -2018 (169) that institutionally by area of knowledge exceed the national average (147)".

“This excellent news with which we close our work year, without a doubt, would not have been possible without the contribution of each one of you, dear community. I want to acknowledge each student, teacher, collaborator, provider, allied entity, especially the Academic Management and Institutional Planning team, who made this recognition possible and who challenge us to maintain high quality and our constant commitment to excellence ”, thanked the rector Osorio Gómez.

Finally, the recognition that society has made for more than 41 years to our missionary axes of teaching, research, extension and social projection were fundamental for the recognition of High Quality.
