Epidemiology includes the description of the health-disease situation, its frequency, distribution and trends. The purpose of the program is the training of specialists at the highest level, through a model of theoretical and practical teaching focused on the active participation of the student and in accordance with the needs of the country and the institutions where the work action of the graduate takes place .

The Specialization in Epidemiology is aimed at professionals in the health area, preferably linked to the areas of clinical research, community work and public health.

The Specialization in Epidemiology allows to carry out a high-quality postgraduate course in hours that do not compete with work activities. It has a focus on both clinical epidemiology and population epidemiology and public health,

allowing the comprehensive training of the epidemiologist and a greater field of action. In addition, the group of teachers is of high quality with Master's and / or doctorate training.

The graduate of the program will be able to:
