The specialty of perfusion and extracorporeal circulation allows to be in a position to solve the problems in the extracorporeal circulation of his patients, at the same time, to become an integral part of the surgical team.

The program favors the development of clinical skills and manual and technical skills, interpersonal, effective communication and professionalism in the care of extremely ill patients, with cardiovascular and surgical pathologies, which facilitates the management of the patient in association with other specialties.

During the development of the program, the specialist will be in permanent contact with the areas of clinical cardiology, coronary care, emergencies, cardiac rehabilitation, hemodynamics, electrophysiology, cardiovascular surgery and intensive care, which gives him a great capacity for interdisciplinary work in the knowledge of highly complex pathologies.

We develop our program in two academic semesters.

With subjects such as: basic sciences in perfusion and extracorporeal circulation, generalities, perfusion I, perfusion II, pediatric perfusion, seminar and research and artistic approach.

The specialization in perfusion and extracorporeal circulation is a postgraduate that has more than 15 years of experience in the field, it has been characterized by training specialists in perfusion at a national and international level, in the same way we have the highest quality standards in education , which allows us a recognition of excellence at the Latin American level.

• Adequate clinical, pathophysiological, biomedical, epidemiological knowledge and its application for the benefit of the patient.

• Practice based on learning and evidence that improves knowledge and incorporates research and evaluation of their own patients.
• Interpersonal communication skills that lead to better information for the patient and their families and the ability to interact with other health professionals.
• Professionalism, which leads him to acquire responsibility, ethical principles and sensitivity to interact with patients.
• Learning based on the correct practice of their specialty to achieve the proposed objectives and meet the requirements of the institutions of the health system where they work.
