We respond to the needs of the environment by training teachers trained in the proper management of problems in the clinical and surgical areas of equines, as well as in the areas of preventive medicine and epidemiology of said population.
The program has academic bases to develop in professionals the capacities to solve problems associated with the health of horses, with an individual and population vision.
The master's degree is framed by two lines of deepening, one in internal medicine and the other in surgery.
The objective of these areas is to obtain a greater degree of specialization in clinical and surgical areas, as required by the environment today.
The training process has firm theoretical foundations and high applicability in practical fields.

Aimed at Veterinary Doctors and zootechnical veterinary doctors.
By our Veterinary and Zootechnical Center -CVZ- that attends highly complex cases on issues related to internal medicine and surgery, using advanced imaging techniques (magnetic resonance, X-rays, ultrasound, tomography and fluoroscopy).
Teachers of high national and international recognition participate in each semester, providing pertinent knowledge for the needs of the sector.
We have international agreements in the main Latin American centers of exercise physiology for horses dedicated to recreation, work or competition.
We also have an equine fertility center and biotechnology laboratories that seek permanent genetic improvement of the specimens.
Our Masters in Equine Veterinary Medicine are able to function in the professional, educational, investigative and advisory fields, providing specialized medical attention in the different areas of medicine and surgery in equines; being leaders in activities that have to do with
the equine industry, production and international marketing; generating projects that respond to current needs in relation to animal health; providing technical and reproductive assistance to Colombian associations that are dedicated to the promotion and promotion of the breeding of horses of different genetic lines.

Applied research is part of the training process, seeking to provide tools that provide solutions to the problems of the equine production sector (donkeys, mules, donkeys, horses, mares).
Our Master's degree has the Center for Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the CES University, considered one of the most modern in Latin America, and with one of the most important volumes of attention in the city of Medellín, which allows the development of applied research in the area.
