Our Oral Rehabilitation program aims to train and prepare specialists capable of restoring the form and function of the dentition, contributing to the recovery of the oral health of patients with dental and periodontal conditions.

We train specialists with the capacity to diagnose and treat advanced clinical cases with state-of-the-art technology, in the area of oral rehabilitation. With an emphasis on the areas of research and teaching, based on relevant scientific and clinical evidence.

Finally, we want to provide society with leaders who will direct their specialty and project the philosophy of CES University on a national and international level.

Our students actively participate within five weekly clinics, four hours each, with the support of three specialists per clinic.

For preclinical practice, we offer a modern laboratory for the elaboration of the necessary steps for the production of fixed partial prosthesis, with high technology equipment.

Academic and research activities are carried out throughout the duration of the program.
There is the possibility of studying the Master of Dental Science as a complement to the specialization. When the two programs are carried out simultaneously, the research project serves for both degrees. Obtaining the double degree in specialization and master.

Being a specialist in Oral Rehabilitation means that the graduate has in-depth knowledge in this area, which, although it is part of the education offered to the general dentist, handles concepts of greater specificity in terms of scientific and technical support and allows the training of a professional capable of solving, from different perspectives, the oral problems originated in the partial or total loss of teeth and restoring the function and aesthetics of the stomatognathic system using the oral remnants themselves (teeth and tissues) or making use of artificial elements such as oral implants and reconstructive surgery.

The program has a modality of classroom teaching, with a full-time dedication by the student and a duration of five semesters (2 years and a half). The time, modality and methodological strategy are accepted worldwide for the training of a specialist in the area of Oral Rehabilitation.

The postgraduate course has agreements in foreign universities with international teachers for academic and teaching activities in different parts of the world. We also carry out academic and research exchanges, with permanent assistance from outstanding teachers worldwide.

The graduate of the program will be trained to:

· To diagnose and treat on a sufficient scientific basis any type of oral rehabilitation required by different types of patients.

· You will be able to treat any interdisciplinary case together with the other specialties such as endodontics, oral rehabilitation, periodontics, surgery, pediatric dentistry and you will have the bases and sufficient solvency to interact with the specialists in these areas.

· There is a great emphasis on research being a fundamental pillar of the postgraduate program, therefore the graduate will be able to:

o Design and execute research projects.

o Manage databases, make the analysis of them.

o Prepare and present scientific reports.

o To achieve an adequate dissemination and application of the research results.

o Read the scientific literature critically.

o To carry out systematic reviews, meta-analysis.

o Conduct clinical research following rigorous protocols for randomized clinical trials.

1. To have submitted the evidence in force that the State considers mandatory.
2. To have fulfilled the requirement of a second language as stated in the agreement of the Superior Council.

The graduate of the Oral Rehabilitation program will have the following occupational profile:

. He may work as a private practitioner or in any clinic, for the care of patients with dental absences and in conjunction with any specialty of dentistry.

. Thanks to the clinical preparation and research, you will be able to carry out teaching activities in any educational centre in the different areas of the speciality.

· Research project advisor.

· His training also makes him well suited to advise, on matters of competence in his clinical area of interest, the people and levels responsible for health care decision-making and resource allocation.
