The University’s Pediatric Infectology program was created in 2012 and has since trained specialists of the highest quality, who respond to the needs of the child with infectious diseases. It is characterized by its academic demand and by having a rotation field and a highly qualified teaching group that allows the resident to acquire all the theoretical and practical knowledge for his performance as a specialist in this area.
Among the program’s outstanding fields of rotation are the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital, the San Vicente University Hospital Foundation and the General Hospital of Medellín, institutions recognized for their quality care of pediatric patients. In addition, the program contemplates within its curriculum rotations abroad that allow the resident to have a wide and global vision of the specialty, specifically at the Colombian Institute of Tropical Medicine, Alexander von Humboldt, Lima, Peru, through the agreement with the Universidad Cayetano Heredia.

1. Approve all curriculum subjects and specific requirements for each program reported in the minutes made by the Promotion Committee.
2. Have submitted the current evidence that the State considers mandatory.
3. To have fulfilled the requirement of a second language as stated in the agreement of the Board of Governors.
4. Submit the certificate of attendance to the CES Chair.
5. Pay the fees for the degree, as established in the financial entitlements.
6. To have approved the graduate or research work.
7. Be in good standing with the University for every concept.
