We train professionals with academic quality and skills to perform in different environments such as clinical, sports, occupational, public health, among others.

Persons who can develop in interdisciplinary spaces and areas of high complexity such as  Intensive Care Units, centers of high clinical complexity and centers of high sports performance.

With competences for care in cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and integumentary areas, based on the analysis of human body movement.

We have High Quality Accreditation by the Ministry of Education of Colombia.

Our program is structured in five curricular areas: basic professional training, research, public health, entrepreneurship and socio-humanistic sciences.

Profile

We train autonomous, responsible and sensitive physiotherapists for the natural and social context.

To belong to our program you must be an integral, responsible person, with a good foundation in the natural, social and exact sciences and a citizen committed to the common good.

In addition, we like the human body movement in any of its expressions and preferably practice some sport, art or hobby linked to movement.

We have a vocation for Physiotherapy and movement sciences. We are citizens interested in national reality, sensitive to human needs and committed to the human and social development of people with disabilities.

You must show interest in health-related issues, and have a service vocation.

In the seedbed we generate spaces of approach to the Physiotherapy major, facilitating our applicants the identification of the different fields of action, and areas of work and occupational performance of the physiotherapist.

We will provide virtual and face-to-face elements for the applicant to learn about the importance of physical therapy as a profession of health sciences, movement analysis

of the human body, the treatments applied by a physiotherapist, the physiology of exercise, biomechanics, sports and the physiotherapist’s specialties in Colombia and in the world.

Our physiotherapy seedbed is virtual, with an in-person visit to the laboratories of the faculty at the headquarters of “El Poblado” and “Sabaneta”.

You will be able to formulate physiotherapeutic diagnoses of patients, considering their needs and context, in the cardiovascular, respiratory, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and tegumentary areas.

You will have skills to perform comprehensive treatments to patients to optimize their functionality and promote social participation, based on scientific evidence and considering the diagnosis for the design and execution of an intervention program.

You will participate in interdisciplinary work teams with management and administration tools.

You will participate in research processes aimed at the renovation or construction of physiotherapy.

You will contribute from your knowledge in communities of interest according to the vulnerability analysis and health needs to improve the quality of life.

requirements

We offer the major with agreements abroad so that our students obtain a double degree.

Financing
and scholarships

We offer financing options and scholarships to our students with entities in agreement.

In order to graduate, you must:
1.
Approve all the subjects of the study plan and the specific requirements for each program, reported in the minutes by the Promotions Committee.
2. Present the current tests that the State determines as of mandatory compliance.
3. Fulfill the requirement of a second language as stated in the agreement of the Superior Council.

4. Present certificate of attendance to the CES Chair.
5. Present the payment of the degree rights, established by the Administrative Committee.
6. Approve grade work.
7. Be in good standing with the University in every respect.

Double Degree Agreement with the University of Talca, Chile.
The double degree is today a fundamental differentiator within the attributes of a higher level program. Therefore, we assure you the validation of subjects between the two institutions through the study plan that was developed for the graduation profiles of each of the programs.

After successfully completing your studies, you will receive an academic degree from the home institution and then from the host institution; in the case of the University of Talca, it will grant the professional title of Kinesiologist, and in the case of CES University, the professional title of Physiotherapist.
