Professionals from different administrative, technological, legal, marketing, financial and logistic areas, etc., with a special relationship with computer and technology law, may apply for the Specialization in Computer and Technology Law.
The purpose of the program is for the student to apply the knowledge of computer law and applied technologies for the generation of knowledge that complements the two areas in business environments. For this purpose, it counts on the Legal Studies Group, classified in Colciencias in category C, with its line of Legal Studies in Computer Science and Technology -GEJIT-, which is permanently dedicated to the study of the following subjects
related to computer science and technology and their interdisciplinary challenges, and also permanently carries out knowledge transfer through academic extension, advisory services and consultancy. Specifically, the specialist trained in Computer and Technology Law will be the one who leads and makes it possible to prevent, attend to and even anticipate the problems that affect these fields in the different sectors of society.
At the end of the Specialization, the graduate will be able to
- Participate in the solutions to problems associated with computer and technology law in the local and global context.
- Collaborate in the development of programs and projects to provide new services and programs in computer and technology law
- To act as a business advisor and consultant in matters related to computer and technology law.
- Participate in the design of information security implementation policies.
- Evaluate plans, programs and projects applied to information and communication technologies from the regulatory compliance.
- Manage and direct programs of legal security of information in companies.

You must pass all curriculum subjects and specific requirements for each program, reported in the minutes by the Promotion Committee. In addition, it is required:
1. Present a certificate of attendance to the CES Chair.
2. The payment of grade rights, as set out in the pecuniary rights.
3. To have passed the degree work.
4. Peace and safety with the University in all respects.
Graduates will have the capacity to develop professionally in the fields of business consulting, participation in public entities that collaborate in the work of intervention, inspection or monitoring of ICT-related activity or the exercise of the judiciary in all areas involving ICT.
